Organization Admin

Teams starts at the private organization. A private organization is where company admins manage their own workplaces, people, and internal booking rules.

Organization Entry

When you open a Teams organization, Skedular checks that you can access it. If you cannot see the organization, you may need an invitation, the right account, or the right sign-in method.

Add A Private Organization

The add-private flow is for creating or joining a private organization workspace. It is not for publishing public marketplace products.

Use it when your company wants to manage internal locations and resources.

Admin Page

The admin page is where organization-level setup and management work belongs. Keep changes careful. Admin settings can affect what other members see and can do.

Sign-In And Welcome

Teams supports standard sign-in, sign-up, callback, and welcome routes. Some organizations may also use SSO.

If you are redirected during sign-in, finish the sign-in flow and return to the organization page.

Expected Result

After organization setup, admins and members should land in the right organization and see the pages their access allows.

When To Use Another App

Use Spaces if the organization is selling marketplace products to customers. Use Customer Help if you only need to make a personal marketplace booking.

Private Organization Checklist

Before you start changing organization setup, check:

  • you are in the correct organization
  • you are signed in with your work account
  • you understand whether the organization is private or marketplace-facing
  • you know who should have admin access
  • you know which locations and resources belong to this organization

Most mistakes happen when an admin is in the wrong organization or tries to use Teams for marketplace work.

Admin Responsibilities

Admin work in Teams usually includes:

  • keeping organization details current
  • helping members get access
  • creating or reviewing private locations
  • making sure resources are bookable by the right people
  • checking bookings when members need help
  • reviewing analytics and availability
  • keeping integrations connected

The admin page is not meant for customer marketplace selling. If the goal is to publish a paid product to customers, move to Spaces.

Access And Visibility

Different people may see different actions. That is expected.

For example:

  • an admin may see setup and management pages
  • a member may only see booking-related pages
  • an invited user may need to finish sign-in first
  • an SSO user may need to use the organization’s identity provider

If a button or page is missing, check access before assuming the product is broken.

Safe Admin Habits

  • Make one change at a time when editing organization setup.
  • Use clear names for locations, teams, and resources.
  • Avoid sharing screenshots that include personal member details.
  • Confirm integration changes with the team that owns Slack, Microsoft Teams, or SSO.
  • Keep private organization work separate from marketplace operator work.
